Background

You're a native speaker of English, with excellent writing skills and a good knowledge of English grammar.
You're familiar with and can employ a range of writing styles (e.g., journalism, marketing copy and formal academic style).
You have a good command of at least one other language.
You have an above-average first degree (Class I, II(i) or equivalent, such as high honours, distinction, etc.) from a well-established university in an English-speaking country, plus additional relevant training. A postgraduate degree (PhD, MA, MBA, etc.) is an advantage.
Ideally, you have had some formal training in writing, editing or journalism.
Ideally, you already have several years' experience of similar work, preferably in a corporate environment.
You speak Dutch or are willing to learn Dutch.
You are a citizen of an EU country or have a work permit for the Netherlands.

Personality and skills

You have good interpersonal communication skills, an enthusiastic and optimistic personality, and are able to work well both in teams and on your own.
You're able to digest and analyse information quickly and write it up as a coherent 'story'. You're not afraid to tackle subjects that are new to you.
You have a creative, flexible mind and are used to looking at things from various angles.
You're pragmatic and proactive and are used to working to tight deadlines.
You're commercially-minded and understand what is required to 'sell' a concept, product or service.
You're able to accept criticism in a positive spirit and learn from it.
You're willing to undertake internal training.
You're familiar with MS Office and have excellent typing skills.
